Accessibility
Last updated: August 1, 2026.
This site should be usable by as many people as possible, including people who browse with a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification, or reduced motion. This page is an honest account of where that stands, including what hasn't been checked yet.

The standard we aim for
This site aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. It has not been independently audited, and we don't claim full conformance. The most accurate description is partially conformant: the guidelines have been followed throughout the build, and most have been verified, but some checks that need a real person on real hardware haven't happened yet. Those are listed below rather than left out.

What has been done
Every page can be navigated by keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline on each link, button, and form field, and a "Skip to main content" link as the first stop. Every image carries alternative text. Every form field has a real, programmatically associated label. Text colour combinations were measured against the WCAG contrast thresholds rather than eyeballed. Headings follow a logical order so screen-reader users can navigate by structure. Every page declares its language. Animation and motion effects are switched off automatically for anyone whose device is set to reduce motion. The site works without JavaScript: no content is hidden behind it, and both contact forms still submit with it turned off.

Known limitations
Two checks are genuinely still outstanding, and we'd rather say so than imply otherwise. First, no manual screen-reader pass has been completed, so while the underlying markup is built for it, the real listening experience hasn't been walked through end to end. Second, testing has been done at desktop and mobile widths in a browser, but not yet on a range of real physical devices, including at high zoom levels.

Parts of the experience we don't control
Booking, client intake, and all client communication happen inside the Practice Better portal, and shop checkout happens on Square. Both are independent services with their own accessibility practices, and this statement doesn't cover them. If you hit an accessibility barrier on either one, tell us anyway, and we'll help you complete what you were trying to do another way.

If something doesn't work for you
Please email TheHardyNutritionist@gmail.com. Telling us the page, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive technology you were using helps a lot, but a short message is genuinely fine too. We'll reply within 2 business days, and if something on this site is blocking you, we'll find another way to get you what you need in the meantime.
